New York’s fashion mob assembled at Cipriani on Wall Street last night to join Fashion Group International in honoring Donatella Versace, Francisco Costa, and Harvey Weinstein, among others at the annual “Night of Stars” gala. The red carpet was rolled out and the usual stream of celebs, designers, and industry moguls shuffled in, most who had just recovered from the events surrounding the spring collections. Upstairs, the black-tie crowd tried not to trip over each other’s Versace and Calvin Klein gowns as the cocktails flowed before the dinner and awards.
The night was about the melding of entertainment and fashion. “I really like where Francisco [Costa] is going: edgy and classic,” said Blake Lively, fresh off of her Brooklyn set with DanPenn Badgley at her side.
